Herringswell Church _______________________________________________
Herringswell church is dedicated to Saint Ethelbert, the king of East Anglia, who was beheaded by Offa, king of the Mercians, in 792. Parts of the church date from before the 14th century. It was destroyed by fire in 1869. It has fine examples of stained glass windows, but to view you need to obtain the key as it is locked at all times.
